What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning has gained popularity over the past few years, but has been around for years! I’ll admit ..I was a closet dermaplaner...scared for my husband to walk in on me dermaplaning my face...and still to this day he has no idea. The question that is burning our minds is…what is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation technique that is done with a surgical scalpel using a controlled scraping method of surface layer of the skin. Doing so removes the velous hairs (face fuzzies) leaving the skin oh so smooth...yet also helping your face products penetrate deeper and leaving a beautiful youthful glow. The first time you apply make up after you get dermaplaned, is the softest feeling, it helps your makeup go on smoother and last longer throughout the day. The way it glides on so smoothly and effortlessly will leave you breathless.

What some people don't know is that dermaplaning, is that it can be paired with a light enzyme chemical peel, and the effect of it is absolutely stunning! Even just when you get the dermaplaning done alone you are already glowing, adding that chemical peel will only add to your glow, increasing your product penetration.

After getting dermaplaned you will need to be wearing SPF, not only then, but always really. Your skin will be a little more sensitive and reactive to the sun, as well feeling a little wind burned. Now that you have had that procedure done you will need to really protect the skin from outside factors.
